Setting

Well, that’s going to change over time, isn’t it?

If you’re familiar with Iron Crown Enterprise and Terry Amthor’s Shadow World, the game will begin in the city of Sel-Kai and move from there depending on your choices.

If you’re not familiar with it, well… Sel-Kai City is a city like any other — if any other city is the trade capital of the world and so stinking rich that it can afford to literally build castles in the sky to show off how stinking rich it is.

Not that all that wealth is falling into your lap, mind you. Not yet, anyway. But they say the Merchant Barons of Eidolon are always looking for young adventurers such as yourself to run their errands — for which they pay handsomely! Or so they say. Whoever “they” are. They can’t be wrong, else why do so many come to the city to seek their fortune? Of course, many also go to Ardania to seek their fortune. Perhaps if gold doesn’t fall into your lap here, it will be better there.

Logistics

RoCA will be a tabletop Rolemaster 2nd Edition campaign. My hope is to find enough players in the New York City area to run in person. If you’re interested, please contact me and let’s talk about your character. You don’t need to be familiar with the system or the world to play, I’ll populate the Wiki with background information.

Campaign Title

The title comes from the song of the same name by Serenity.

Behold the artifacts of old
You never saw their virgin glance
Held in creating hands unknown
Exposed to oxidation, slow disintegration leaving trace
(Corroding for all days)

Anything shining bright today
Will undergo this certain decay

How many ages have to come and go until we know
All we create has to fade
When the never still assembly line subsides to shine
What will remain

Now it is the same old tale again
The egoistic fail to see it´s not their private history
Once caught by this seduction
Follows deconstruction of our world (and millions lie unheard)

Rust of Coming Ages
