Races

I maintain the Wikipedia page List of Shadow World races

Professions

Professions are described of being of one or more realms:

  • Arms — all things non magical.
  • Essence — the magic of the world
  • Channeling — the magic of the Gods, Spirits, etc.
  • Mentalism — the magic of one’s own Mind.

Professions are either purely of one Realm, a hybrid of two magical realms, or based in the Realm of Arms but semi extending into one of the three magical Realms.

Any person of any Profession may learn any skill. The cost to learn a skill is a function of profession, however — a Fighter will learn magic far more slowly than fighting, a Magician will learn to use a weapon more slowly than how to cast more spells better.
